Girls Camp (7/16-7/20)

AWWWWW Girls camp-Girls camp how I love you and am So glad you are done. That was a stressful time in my life..Worth it in the end. As most of you know I was called as the camp director. Luckily it was a stake camp so I didn't have as much on my plate as I would have if it was ward, but still I had a lot!

We went up to Heber Valley Campground, the one President Hinckley organized. Our stake has been on the waiting list for 4 years to come up to this camp ground, The camp ground is run basically by elderly missionaries-who are all so cute and nice. Anyways I guess whoever is in charge of this camp sees all the stakes and then they pray about who should come up-this was our year. The campground is like the Taj Mahal of "camps". I always think how lucky I am that I come into this new ward and am called to the young womens essentially, and that is the year that they go up to this awesome place--I never would have probably known about it otherwise possibly ever.

Anyways Our camp theme was about "seek his light and shine" Our ward theme was "Be all that you can be" We had to make a banner, so one night before camp I went over to another girls house and we made this banner with spray paint and masking tape.

Alright, camp was so much fun and I loved it, I built a really strong relationship with a lot of the girls, and everyone called me Ducky! I love this. I mean my last name is Duckworth, and I know a lot of people are a little iffy about their last names, but this is not something I'm too fond of. After camp though every Sunday and Wednesday I'm reminded why my last name is so great. I get called DUCKY By the cutest funniest sweetest girls and I love it. I mean, I'm pretty proud of my husband and Love being married to him, but this is just something that makes me not as"shy" about it I guess.
Anyway so I guess I’ll start from my first day. So we had three cabins for our ward. We had our own site, it was pretty sweet . I was in one cabin with 9 other girls. There was one girl in particular, a Beehive. Her first time away from mom lik ever. Which is fine because you’re twelve.

I don’t know if you are all aware-you should be, I’m one big ball of anxiety. Don’t get it wrong, I’m a big ball of fun too- but man am I a scaredy cat. Anyway so we’re all in the cabin on our first night and we turn the lights off, I’m already having a hard time sleeping because I’m scared of bears or crazies in the woods . Yup poor me in the big old log cabin with deadbolts on both doors and I’m scared. The girls are sound asleep –and I was having trouble. I’m laying facing the window of my bunk for about 10 minutes when I turn over to get more comfy when BAM there is a figure of a person right next to my bed, my heart jumps..I fumble for my flashlight frantically turn it on (I’m not even being dramatic) It’s a girl-a Beehive standing above my bed crying-she misses her mom. (( Oh by the I was the only one of the leaders out of 4 of us that had service, so I was doing all the corresponding with the Bishopric and leaders who have not come up yet when it was necessary..Go Verizon! Woohoo! Anyway so the girls all knew I had the phone.)) So it’s close to midnight and she asks if she can call home just to hear her moms voice. I’m like uhhh ..I read somewhere in a manual you were suppose to talk them through their fears and homesickness. I’m tired and you just about gave me a heart attack- YES you can use my phone. So we go outside, I’m barefoot and it’s cold so I step inside the door and wait for her. Three minutes later she comes back in and hands me the phone, glad that’s over now we can go to bed and be rested for all of our activities tomorrow. “My moms coming to get me, with my grandpa” WHAT???? “Oh no I didn’t know that’s what you were using my phone for, it’s midnight, call her back and let her know not to come up”

Now for some obvious reasons her mom shouldn’t be coming to get her.
1> It’s midnight
2> The drive is far and the road is windy once she gets up here, it’s not safe.
3> Not only will I not be able to sleep all the lights would go on in the cabin so she can pack up
4> It’s a big deal the stake would be involved, even though it’s midnight there are strict guidelines she wouldn’t even be able to get in to Heber Valley
5> We have no idea where the stake is sleeping and would be wandering around .

Get it? I mean really>! So she calls her mom back and walks away from me. After a couple of minutes hands me the phone and says “she already left” OH MY I’m in panic mode- I run to the cabin where the President is sleeping “Bre…” I then go and whisper the situation she comes out, and has the girl call her mom then the President talks to her and explains most of the reasons above why it would be a really bad idea to come up tonight. The YW President then hands the phone to this little Beehive and says “okay tell your mom bye” Beehive grabs the phone and walks far away from us, we can still hear her though – she was making plans with her mom to come and get her at 7AM the following morning. So we talk this girl out of going for the night. Me and this girl go back to our cabin, when she turns to me and says in a stern voice “I told my mom you would text her the address of where tonight!” Okay the address is 2659 W Heber valley Drive..NOT HOW IT WORKS> haha I wasn’t rude to her, I was very supportive in talking her down, and making her feel welcome, all the girls were. Her mind was made up.

That night and the following day I got multiple text messages from a worried mother, and when I didn’t reply because my phone wasn’t really with me most of the time I would get repeat texts and even more worried texts. This was an ordeal, Needless to say the next day this little girl went home. I wish she would have stayed, we all do—but she would just cry throughout the day and then make the other girls feel bad and then we had to take time away from the other girls to help console her, it just wasn’t fun for anyone—her mind was made up and she left.

So between that, and me waking up one of the girls up in the middle of the night to “please shut her window because I’m really freaked out right now” ha! Cabin 2B was the best cabin ever! But hey really I kept hearing noises in the bushes that woke me up, it happened three times and I just couldn’t handle it anymore—my heart was racing, I just sang ‘A childs prayer’ over and over in my head , which did help, but she had to shut her window for the sake of me. LISTEN I’m not a horrible leader and actually the girls really like me, it was just a rocky start. The following night another leader came into my cabin and I slept like a baby. Ya know as well as a baby can sleep with their hip bones digging into a wood board. Anyways nothing else real exciting happened, I mean HILARIOUS stuff happened and it was such a good time but my post is already really long. There are a couple more things I want to blog about for camp- maybe I’ll continue that next time. Finally after two hours of reading you all know how my…first day at camp went.

Wahoo!

I lost my iPod

Or so I thought.. About two Wednesdays ago.For Young women we went to the Temple and learned about Virtue, passed one of our personal project things off. I had my iPod with me and was using it for my scriptures. The next day I went to use my iPod and it was gone. Not in my purse not at work. After work I searched frantically with no luck:( My love was gone. Now I know we aren't suppose to put that much importance into wordly things but this was my second iPod touch. My second generation I lost as well. It's like I can't have anything nice. but this...this is my new present from Eli 5th generation white he got it for me when it first came out > Now this isn't to be all "braggy" just giving you a bit of a back story to help you understand the importance.

Okay so my iPod is lost and it's the end of nice presents as I know it. I searched Thursday to the following Wednesday for my iPod. I had prayed and prayed and looked and looked, called the Temple lost and found - I even woke up in the middle of the night with a bright idea on where it may be hiding once or twice. I was actually on my way to YW on Wendesday the 8th (exactly one week from when i lost my precious)I was preparing a speech in my head actually, just a speech about how I lost something oh so special and if any of the girls had found an iPod and just weren't sure who's it was or what to do with it to let me know because it may be mine. Cheesy and lame and I was nervous about it because I have built an amazing relationship with a lot of the girls and didn't want them to think I was accusing anyone of being a thief.

I was driving to YW nervous and needed to calm my nerves. I wanted to listen to a certain song, lucky I do have some music on my phone - not a lot and not as good quality but some. I Whip out my phone while on the road and yank on the cord that I need to plug in my phone. The cord was on the side of my seat right next to the middle console. I start to pull it out and it's kinda hard-Okay why is this so hard?? I finally get it up (really it was hard) MY iPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOO HOOOO My poor pod has been sitting lonely for one week stuck under the seat on the cord. So Of course I start crying and then remembering all the times throughout the week that I had felt like connecting my phone to this cord-not for the music, but to have my phone on speaker while I was talking to my RC WIlley, my mom and Eli. Everytime I thought to connect my phone I pushed that out of my mind and just kept the phone on my ear.

It's just funny. If I would have listened to that thought I had the first or second time- I wouldn't have been stressing for a week. We were driving one time somewhere and a song came on the radio that I had just downloaded on my iPod before it disappeared..I was literally in tears>>pathetic I know. I was stressed and sad to the max but Now I'm happy to the max.

Just had to share. Camp stories still to come:)

8/06/12

I think it's about time for a Blog post. Not only am I behind..I'm real behind. Since my last blog--we adopted a baby-got an ant farm- Dallin got a tat-moved to Ohio to join the 'Glee' team because as you know Eli and I were in Show choir before it was cool to be in show choir.

Now None of the above is true..except for the part about Show Choir-not the Glee part :)

But really since last time I blogged--Eli got a mohawk, I went to girls camp, Eli went to scout camp. Eli's car broke, my car broke, my parents car broke WHILE I was driving it. I ate some watermelon. See basically the same stuff as above.

So I feel like this post is going to be overwhelmingly long just to get caught up-so this is my introduction page and then as the days go by or hours I'll add more and more about the last few weeks. For now I'm going to post just a couple pics that don't have a lot to do with what I'll be posting about in the near future--ones I like and for your enjoyment.

imageanchor="1" style="margin-left:1em; margin-right:1em">

ahhh So Dallin really did get a tat:)

Management

Yesterday we got home from work and there was a letter on our door, not just our door--everyones. The letter stated today the apartment managers would be entering into our house on 6/27/2012 checking on the status basically. They wanted us to write down anything that needed to be fixed. The letter told us it was mandatory and they were getting ready for corporate visits next month. Basically the letter said clean your house and patio we're gonna come check it. It feels we were just bombarded uhhhhhghhh:/

I know I said last week I cleaned that one room and folded laundry all day, and I did. What I didn't say was all of the new laundry I did nothing with because by the time I got done hanging up "old" stuff I was wiped out and Eli was home, so this had to be done.Luckily for us though I made my family dinner on Sunday, so in preparation for that we did some cleaning..vaccum, sweep and just basic straightening, if we hadn't done that this would have been a nightmare especially.

We were invited to our friends BBQ yesterday so it's not like we had all night to clean, we went but we did have to leave early unfortunately. Afterward we went home and cleaned, and cleaned. Eli did the bathroom without me asking or even hinting at it..amazing I know? The toilet was spotless, you could eat off of that thing, and we did just to test it out...I went and got my ice cream cake and put it on the toilet seat and just ate it. SIKE!!!! haha you were all grossed out!! That last part definitely didn't happen. Anyway the house didn't turn out emmaculate and our bedroom and second bedroom weren't incredible, it still looked like people lived there but we weren't embarrassed for random people to come over.

On a piece of paper we now had to write anything that needed to be worked on. one set of our blinds were not working. ELi got the paper on the counter and started writing at the top I labeled it 'Things that need to be fixed' and he wrote the rest...yes I know

Cool right?! I was laughing so hard when I read that. Some of you may know who we're talking about-- :) SO dramatic!

So this morning I brought my pup pup to mommas so he wouldn't have a barking fit when some strangers came into our house and just stayed for however long they stay. I was also worried if they got too annoyed they might be rude to him and I couldn't have that happen to my lil babay. Dallin thanks for taking care of him btw.

OH one more thing Shout out to my lil Boookey Brea --she started a dog sitting business, she has a business card and everything so it's legit. I'm so proud of my little entrepreneur.

I'm baaaack!

MY OLD layout is back. WORRY NO MORE those of you who were concerned about not being on the right blog. hehehe. I figured our blog has had the same background and look and feel to it, since I first started , and then I went up and changed it. If it's not broken why fix it? Especially if you're not making it better, so it's baaaack.

wooot wooot. I'm oddly overly excited about this.

Thursday Good day II

..................................CONTINUED........................................

So, This picture is right after Sam's ceremony. Obviously Eli has some issues with letting him go, and then Royce in the background is a bit jealous maybe?

ELi looked so good yesterday I just loved it.
OH NO WORk is over, I will have to continue on later about more Thursday Good Day!

I'm back and it's been a whole weekend, so you may have already seen the above but all this below is brand new and also not that interesting. :) Just two pics from the wedding

This one I like, it just makes me laugh because my jaw line looks intense, for those of you who know me, my jaw line is pretty much non existent, it's weak sauce, and in this picture Eli has no chin--at all the only reason you know where his neck ends and face starts is because of that handsome chin strap.

After the wedding Eli wanted to celebrate with Chuck-a-Rama. Well this is really not a celebration to me, it's all you can eat but I only get two plates and ones full of salad okay maybe three two salad plates and one with maybe disgusting potatoes. Eli though he takes advantage and eats it ALL! So basically I'm sitting at the table waiting and watching him eat, then being a loser and looking around while he goes up and get's more food. I mean I guess I sip my drink, so I may have complained. It's not just that I don't really eat a ton, it's also about the skirt I was wearing with the 4 inch heels. It didn't sound so fun to me to get up and down and UP and down and walk around hunting and gathering for my own food in that ensemble. Eli understood then surprised me and took us to The Cheesecake Factory. OH YUCK! I would have rather gone to Chuck-A-Rama. I think they call people like me ingrates or something. We've been a few times, we've gone a few times because Eli really enjoys it (ENJOYED) and evertime I go the food is less then yummy. ESPECIALLY for what your paying. bleck! (My opinion obviously) Anyway we went there and it was a bad experience, bad bread bad service gross food. Okay the food I got wasn't disgusting, but I told the guy what I was thinking about getting, then just to make sure I asked "theres no cheese in that right?" NO MA'M NO CHEESE. "Is it suuper spicy?" NO MA'M IT'S NOT BAD AT ALL. "Okay great I want that." Now it's Eli's turn "Can I get the blahh blahh blahh and Please no mushrooms" OKAY PERFECT.. now we wait, while we were waiting though we got salads and an appetizer basically avacado tacos or something. The salad was eww the ranch was nasty. Usually I ask if I can taste the ranch before I order but I actually have never gotten a salad there before and I forgot to ask, right after we asked for the salad the guy was gone.

So Server brings out our food and well there is cheese in mine, not just like sprinkled in it, but the sauce is basically made of cheese and had melted cheese you could see the melted strings from noodle to noodle. I looked grossed out, but I thought I'd give it a try. Really though? So i took a bite and the food was soo dang spicy it burned my tonsils and throat. I guess you can't blame the waiter a ton for that because his tolerance for spice may be a lot higher then mine, but yeah the food definitely had a BIG kick to it. Eli started eating his food and BAM mushroom, the waiter comes by and Eli tells him that he just found a mushroom>> the waiter replies "oh I'm sorry man" he then walks away. >>>I'm like okay? WHy does he think we told him that, just because?? hahaa UHHHH?? Anyway Eli picks it out and takes another bite, and BAM mushroom again. I start looking at his food and BAM mushroom. They're good sized chunks too but small enough to have a lot mixed in there. Eli is deathly allergic to mushrooms. And when I say deathly allergic I mean deathly grossed out and disgusted by them. I don't mind this though, because I don't think they're the tastiest thing in the world, so I don't need to cook with them, or cream of mushroom. So then I'm like WHAT?? we're not gonna pay for this food that you're not going to eat, so the waiter comes back around and Eli tells him "excuse me , there's mushrooms in this and I'm scared to eat anymore or it" haha that made me laugh but then the waiter goes "I'm sorry man, do you need us to make you a new one?" HELLO!!!!! We requested it in the first place, if it wasn't a big deal we wouldn't even be telling you about it. I know this rant may be annoying but I was way bugged. Secretly and well not so secretly I was happy that this happened because this meant no more going to The Gross Cheesecake Factory anymore. Okay I really am sounding like a spoiled brat so I'm done.

Oh wait I'm not done! Eli brought his food home with him and ate it for lunch the next day, and MR mushroom was there, haha he said he only found one or two though.

Okay Now I'm done. almost. You have to endure one more picture. It's E yawning, he looks like scream huh?! haha

Thursday good day

Reasons Thursday June 21st were celebratory worthy..

I had no work (because I was sick, but that's beside the point)
I hung up and washed loads and loads..and LOADS of laundry )
I ate some ice cream cake that Eli bought for me. wooooo
Me and that one guy went on a date
I'm caught up on Teen Mom 2 (finished the finale yesterday)

Let me start from umm Wednesday, I felt like crap! Went into work looking and feeling like a piece of turd..is that how you spell turd? I walked in and the girl next to me asks "oh is it come into work day in your PJ's?" I then shot her the look of --ooooh you did NOT just say that-- She then quickly responded "ohh no, what's wrong?" I gave her a little insight on my morning and how I was basically the walking dead today. I then quickly finished emails and told her I was taking an early lunch and was going to be gone for about two hours, she was perfectly okay with that. I then went to my moms and slept, awww this felt great. Unfortunately my alarm went off and it was time to go back to work. I really could have slept until the cows came home. I've actually never understood that saying, and really I'm not sure if I used it correctly. POINT being, I was really tired. I went back to work thankful for my nap, irritated at how short it was. My boss came over to me a bit later asking if I needed to go home, YES pleeeease! I took the following day off, which was a day of Celebration.

Thursday morning I woke up too early for not feeling super great, but as the day moved on I felt better. At 11Am I started my first load of laundry. I separated the laundry into piles. It was time for the first load, I stuffed as many clothes as I could into that poor washer, it was time for my next task. Walk into the second bedroom, it's filled with clothes! I really think only my mom and siblings who have seen it can tell you there was a lot! Clothes from before that got washed but never hung up, clothes we've tried on all over the floor, along with the clothes from the baskets of clean that are scattered all over from us trying to find what we wanted to wear certain mornings. We sound disgusting, but all of the clothes were clean, so that's good right? I can't even understand 7 loads of laundry a room filled with clothes all over the floor and in baskets, plus 7 loads of laundry (6 of which were apparal. This is nuts, too. many. clothes!!! Anyway I sat down and wathed my guilty pleasure (which I actually have a lot of) Keeping up with the Kardashians and folded laundry, yeah I was folding laundry and hanging up clothes for literally 4 1/2 hours, I obviously took breaks in between like to put in more laundry and take Titan out. But really:( I was exhausted but the room looks great. Eli's still missing some socks, not as many as before. Eli is to socks, as I am with bobby pins. Ya feel me ladies? Where do they always go?? Oh I also took a break to eat some Ice Cream cake.

Yeah that's another thing, I've been craving ice cream cake from Baskin Robins, and I got some . Yikes. the cake was more money then it's really worth but what are you gonna do, cravings. Anyway so I did take a break to eat that.

So I'm watching Kardashians, and putting away laundry when Eli get's home. Eli's BFF was getting married, so he's the best man, he comes home and get's his tux out to put it on, and then out of nowhere he says "Hello I'm Eli Dutchworm" I started laughing so hard, random? Nope this was the name on the tux Eli picked up. hahaha first laughing matter.

We then went to the ceremony which was beautiful- I know ceremonies in the Temple are always beautiful but the spirit was so strong, and I loved it...

Here is Sam and Deb on their amazing day:) they obviously weren't aware I was taking their picture..

>>POST GETTING LONG..TO BE CONTINUED...<< :)

I called my parents house today and Jayden answered.
ME: Hi would you ask your mom a question for me?
JAYDEN: Yes
ME: Okay will you ask her how many sq feet the apartment is? Wait is she home?
Jayden: No
ME: Then why did you say you would ask her something for me?
Jayden: Because I am willing to.

hahahahaha this made me laugh, I thought it was so cute, and he just said it so -matter of fact- "because I'm willing to". I love my 11 year old brother, such a stud! This may mean not much for the readers but it's something I want to remember :)

I love mi familia!

June 10

Another Sunday, another Fun day! No really...we enjoy Sundays because we always go visit if not one both of our families. We got ready and headed off to church, and...sat in the back. Aw jeez! It's soo hard to hear back there, which makes it really hard to pay attention. I also don't enjoy it because of the chairs, your thinking well who does? They're uncomfortable. I dislike them for another reason though, Somehow little kids always sit behind me, and play on the ground, and somehow then their hands, and little heads will start touching me...yesterday the little kid behind me kept pushing his head against my back...side and just kept pushing, then his hands would touch me, and I didn't want to turn around and just smile at him, like some people do when you're kids are pulling their hair in church, because it always makes the parents feel bad, they apologize, then they can't focus on the meeting because they have to make sure their child isn't disturbing you. So I just ignored it.

Oh I didn't mention the little kid who kept hitting me> his dad was ...DOPPELGANGER. That's right 15 minutes into the meeting, and the door next to us in the cultural hall, opened and a head peeked through it was..him, Mr Look alike. yay and for some unknown reason awkward. Doppelganger has a little boy (the one as mentioned before) Well this little boy was crying, I was trying to ignore the situation. Eli leans over to me and says "Amber, that boy behind us was crying, but then I looked at him and he stopped, it's because he thought he saw daddy" Seriously though I don't know why the boy stopped crying but he did. Eli is what I like to refer to as "The baby whisperer" We're at church, and the little kids in front of us will just look at Eli, especially the little girls, and they smile. Eli's so good at making children happy, they're just drawn to him. I can only think of one kid in existence that Eli's powers don't work on--an adorable little girl who happens to be my niece named abbie for the most part I would say she's not an Eli fan. I would say she's definitely the exception to the rule. I'm so grateful Eli has this ..I would call it a gift? just he's naturally good with children. It's definitely going to come in handy when we start a family of our own. Now i'm done with this topic because it's giving my family ideas;)

Oh and just an update on that Ice cream craving, last week I got one later that day,and then the next and basically I would say every day except one I bought an ice cream cone, or ice cream of some sort which is really no bueno actually, but it's my cryptonite. mmm ice cream.

hmm...anything really interesting happen yesterday though? I mean a lot of things that made me laugh but that I specifically want to post about? nahh I guess that was it. I know this post wasn't anything amazing, but just something that I'd like to read back on one day and smile.

cute note.

I just thought this was sooo heart warming. I know I work in a sports industry so some of you are thinking "duhh of course she likes this" Not true! I work here and I don't have a team, I don't follow baseball or football, I do "follow" basketball but basically only because my work gives me tickets to the games during the season, and we enjoy going. I was browsing yahoo this morning when I came across this article, it may not be too interesting but brought a little comfort to my soul and warmed my heart.

--'You're 6 years old, and you love football. Specifically, you love the New York Giants and their big, bruising running back Brandon Jacobs.
One day, you hear that Brandon Jacobs isn't playing for the Giants anymore; he's playing for some other team that wears different colors in some other place way far away. You ask your mother to explain, and she tells you that the Giants just don't have enough money to keep Brandon Jacobs.
So you think to yourself, "Oh? Is that it? Money? All that we need to fix this is money? I have money! I'll send it to Brandon Jacobs and everything will be fine! Here! Here's money! All better!"
And this arrived in Brandon Jacobs' mailbox:' (click the image if you can't read it)

The football player tweeted this picture a few days ago, and I'm so glad he did. I guess in this crazy world we live in it's good to know little kids are still little kids and so innocent and just good = I love that!

randomness 2

>I am so Excited for today! I wanted an ice cream cone SO bad yesterday..it was weird actually, it had to be soft serve and vanilla. I would not have settled for a gallon of Vanilla. Well actually I would have settled, if that's what I had to work with then that's what I would have eaten. Since it was Sunday and we don't usually shop on Sundays unless it's absolutely necessary, I didn't get one. I think this could have almost been classified as an emergency but not quite. So, I settled for BBQ chips, not even close to satisfying my cravings but they held me over until this GLORIOUS Monday when I can go buy me an ice cream cone. Woohoo. To update you, to update you? hmmm... I guess I'll give you a bit of information you didn't know.

Eli has a doppelanger, for those of you not aware of this term, we learned it from 'How I met your Mother' it is somebody who looks so much like you it's uncanny (did I use that word right) this person is your twin, but not by birth just because some ma and pa out there made a child that is identicle to you. Some of you may not have met your doppelganger yet, they may even be half way across the world. Lucky for us Eli's is right in our own town. >We were sitting in church one day and I leaned over and looked to my left I literally did a double take, my husband was sitting right next to me, so how could he be on the other side of the room with a different family? I just chuckled "Eli that guy looks just like you, seriously" Eli leans and looks and says "What the..?" he agreed. Eli then told me I could take him to a family party and all people would say was -WOW eli you've lost a lot of weight, and I like your brown contacts- haha they look the same people, it's crazy. Eli told me he went to class and this guy was there he is new to the ward. We actually passed him in the hall yesterda, although it was a really slow pass because both of us were stuck behind people and it was AWKWARD no really awkward. I really don't know why, and then I wonder is this feeling mutual, can he feel the awkwardness, does he look at Eli and hope that his wife doesn't get them mixed up? Hehe. So funny!

On Thursday (May 31st) my brother Dallin graduated. ConGRADuations Dallin, I'm so proud of you. Serious Dallin works constantly and sometimes after school he would go straight to work and be there until really late, still his grades didn't reflect his stressful work schedule. To me it just seems tiring and stressful, but he handles it really well. After graduation everyone went to my parents, Brandons family, Spencers family and the Duckworth fam. All the kids were there of course and we ate Pizza. Dominos has thee best bacon pizza..so good! We played Mafia for like two hours really. Well we did play for a while and it was so fun! The whole next day Eli wanted to play Mafia with me or go to my families but everyone wouldn't be there and it wouldn't be the same.

Saturday (June 2nd) We slept in, and it was great! After waking up I got a phone call from my brother "Mom wanted me to tell you there are new Drop Dead Divas" AHHHH I was so excited. Drop Dead Diva is such a good show, it's on Netflix and when I first came across it a few years ago, I wasn't so sure about it, but finally I was bored one day and decided to give it a try. I LOVED it. Got my mom into it as well. The only thing is the seasons are like 13 episodes long and it takes like a year to have them put up the next season on Netflix. Literally the night before I was reading a tweet from my good friend Kim K. (hahaha) I'm lame I know. She was talking about Diva and how she's a part of season 4. I then started to remembering the good old days, and wondered when it would be back on.
>So while Eli got ready for the day I watched the first episode of season 3, YAY. After that episode Eli suggested us doing something, I wanted to go to Seven Peaks, he didn't so after like 5 minutes I suggested we make up a dance. Eli and I use to country dance and we were in show choir together (that's right before it was cool to be in choir thanks to Glee) and I know for a fact my man can dance. After being opposed for about 1 miinute we just went into our kitchen, I turned on my iPod and we danced, free style for a minute, after we were warmed up it was time to choreograph. We danced to Taylor Swift 'Eyes Open' Eli had a lot of ideas and it was soo fun and such a work out. We went to my moms later and performed it a few times. I can't actually see what the dance looked like, but being in it was fun, maybe I'll try having somebody record it and I can blog it. I'm not saying it's excellent but I would go as far as entertaining.

And here is Eli rolled up in my moms rug, I'm not sure why this happened, alls I know is we looked over and he was on the ground rolling himself up like a taco.

Cute abbie after Dallins graduation.

And now I am off to go get ready, and then go get some ice cream before going to a dance performance, I wonder if the people will ask for any audience members to come perform. hmmm :) GOOD DAY!

Blown Away

Something so funny just happened at work. A new lady has been moved upstairs to work in the same area as our team she's on the phone helping people a lot with their computers. Just barely she was on the phone and then said "one second" and then all of the sudden she's blowing her nose really loud , then I hear her say "okay" hahahaha She's on a personal phone I'm pretty sure and from the time she said one second to the time she blew her nose was not enough time to pull the phone from her ear and hit mute. OH my this just made me laugh so hard.

In other news, I got my Carrie CD and i LOVE the song Blown Away. Eli is not an Underwood fan at all, everytime "good girl" comes on he says that she bugs him and we change the station. Well I got my Cd and listened to it the whole way home from work, really the song 'blown away' gives me chills, I just love it. Got home and set the cd on the counter and did the dishes..that's right I wanted to clean this is weird, I only usually get this urge 20 minutes before our home teachers are suppose to come over. Which happened Sunday morning by the way (more on that later) So I did the dishes then Eli came home and he wanted to go buy treats for family home evening, I picked up my Carrie Underwood and put it in my hand..Eli just laughed and told me he doesn't know why I'm bringing that because I know he doesn't like her. My response "just one song, I want to listen to one song" I turned on 'Blown Away' and Eli rewound it to a part he liked, after the song was over he started it over. haha HE LIKED IT! I'm sooo happy then after we got our treats he turned it on again. Seriously it's soo good. This is my opinion of course but I'm just so happy, because I wouldn't have spent money on this CD but then I won it and now I'm in love. yaya
Okay the girl at work, I had her listen to 'blown away' she liked it a lot, she then informed me it was a bit depressing but really good. just fyi if you listen to it.

Alright so two weeks ago our home teacher asked if it was okay if he came by Before church. We agreed 11am would be great... 2 nights prior I had been doing a craft that took me a while after I was done I wanted to relax and watch TV, I then fell asleep. This only added to the mess. Saturday we were gone basically all day, for my Girls camp we had to go up to the camp and look around, got home was exhausted, okay well Eli could have straightened up why I was gone but he had other 'important' things to attend to. Point is our house was a wreck, not disgusting -take our dog away because the conditions are unliveable- just messier then it should be with only two people living there with no children. Eli and I decided we really needed to clean before the home teachers got there, so I set my alarm for 10Am, as soon as it went off I was ready to hit snooze-Eli jumped out of bed and said "we need to clean" And clean we did. Eli took charge and I cleaned the living room, he did the kitchen, I did the sitting area -I guess you could call it that and he did the bathroom, it was 10:55 and I was just finishing the last dish BING our house was spotless. This is a routine we're use to doing actually, we must enjoy it because each month since we've had home teachers we do this quick clean up stressful routine, and always finish just in time to relax for 3 minutes before the knock at the door. After the dishes were all done, we sat on our couch, and waited, and waited, and waited. Home teachers never came, but that's okay I guess it was just time to clean our home and the Lord knew the only way we'd do that is if we were pushed. hehehe We cleaned it well too, I was impressed. I got home from work the next day and walked into my clean home and was just filled with joy, and decided I always want that feeling, so I did what few dishes we had, and BING spotless again.
<>Okay just to clear the air we don't never clean because we definitely do but since it's been that clean it had been a couple of weeks.

Now that all of you guys think I'm filthy, I will now leave you. Good Day.

Unique...and only one day later.

> On my way to our apartment from my moms I just had changed the station to KBull93 and a song ended then all of the sudden "call now for the carry cow" and it said some other things. I'm like YIKES every morning they do a Carry Underwood thing where somebody calls in and then a cow "moos" a carrie song and the person has to guess it. Well I thought that's what this was and the person wins tickets to her concert I think. Anyways YIKES i wanna win. So I think really quick I mean split second quick I don't know their number because my main station is not this one, I'm like well it's 801 and all radio stations are 470.5701 or 670 so it had to be one of those and I was pretty sure that the last four digits were 9393 I called 570.9393 and it was busy I'm thinking okay this number is probably wrong, but I redial anyway and it rings then all of the sudden "Kbull 93 who's this? EEEEEK I got through then he says this "Your caller 13!" EEEEEK so I'm getting all nervous for my very first radio debut. He then tells me on Monday morning the Moo Crew will be calling somebody at 8:20 for the fly away so have your phone on, only 10 people are qualified for this, and I won Carries 'Blown Away' CD. yayayay I LOVE 'Good Girl' I'm not saying Carrie is my numero Uno but I do like her quite a bit so woooo me:) My unique thing happened and it's only 24 hours later. OH ye of little faith, right Eli SHEESH!I really don't know if that counts but still, cool right?! Maybe not for you lucky people who win $150.00 on the radio but I'm overly excited about my free $15.00 CD.

wun moe ting. ;)

>WAIT! i have more news, Last night before sleep time Eli and I prayed obviously I won't tell you the whole thing because that's just weird anyways in a part of his prayer he asked "that something unique would happen for us today" then when he was done he just looked at me and told me "I just know something unique will happen tomorrow" I'm like okay weirdo you can't really predict that. well BAM Eli just called me and said he had a meeting today with some big wigs of the company today and the Vice President of Red Cross was there. Eli said he sat next to somebody who had worked there for seven years and this has only happened three times, so I guess they all thought that was super cool..and I guess it really doesn't happen often. Eli just started his new position at his company and for this to happen a month into it, and probably won't happen again for a while, it was unexpected ummm I guess you could say that was UNIQUE! So weird and kind of cool if you ask me? He just knew it, in some way this strengthens my testimony on prayer, it's a small thing and you guys all may think OK??? but I just got teary eyed when I was writing it okay?!
> As for me, well nothing real special has happened, well I went to the Apple store today for the first time it was CRAZY busy, and it's a Thursday, I went around Noon. My iPod jack was having issues and they fixed it. I don't know if I'd say that was my Unique experience but the day is not over, work almost is though wooooo!

>Oh one last story because I mostly update about me and I know Eli doesn't care because he really only reads this once in a blue moon, but I got a text today Eli checked his grades and he got an A in every class. So great and SO proud of him! Eli is really such a smart kid, I would say sometimes not socially the smartest, he really needs to know what to say and when to say it sometimes, Okay so do I BUT my point is he's good with school hehe. Right about now I recall Eli's words to me from maybe almost two years ago "I'm more of a book smart guy, and you're more street smart and smart with hair and magazines and stuff" Yeah his comment pretty much went like that, it wasn't mean spirited at all I just laughed way hard..it's funny cuz it's true. I'll admit it though he's the brains of our family and I'm happy for that. So proud of you babalicious hunk of mine!

<>Umm this post needs a picture and since I forgot to add this one to the last one I'll do it here. I mean I guess it kind of goes along with the whole comment about how I'm smart with hair. This is how I did my locks for Spence and Lisa's wedding, I was so happy about it.

p.s Christy told me how to do tabs and stuff (just center it) I guess with my layout you can't do that, I even tried putting it into word centering it and then moving it over. Brandon then suggested finding the HTML for it, I found something tried it, and it sort of worked but sort of not, hard to explain but then I just decided to do > or <> And I know that it's not tabbing it, but I guess it get's the point accross of an indentation so I did it for this and My last post. ahhh.

Events

” a few things on my mind..
<>First HAPPY LATE MOTHERS DAY To my mom. I know she knows I love and appreciate her, and in fact we arleady gave her the gift, and she loved it..right mom???  Anyways I’m grateful for her, and everything she has done and still does for me. It’s amazing how immature I still am and need my mom. I mean I know I’ll always need her but for example…Just yesterday I left work early because I was feeling really sick, I got to my moms she had a heating pad ready for me on her counter, I heated it up and then just laid on the couch. My mom was making “pizza hut” for dinner and needed some flour, she told me that she was going to the store, then asked if I needed anything like Sprite? Maybe some Coke? I then told her I needed Gummy worms..So momma came home with gummy worms for her little adult girl Thanks ma! So Happy be lated Mothers day , I love you! My mom is such a cute grandma btw.

<><><>There was one other really important thing that happened this weekend what was it ..what was it?? OH Yeah my Spencer Wencer got married wooooohoooo!
<> We love Lisa and are so excited to have her as part of our family. I’m especially happy that she likes me and I like her because for a while I was worried about ..what if the girl Spence dates doesn’t like me? What if she thinks I’m obnoxious and loud, I mean come on now those are some traits I occasionally have. This worried me because I love my brother and we have a close relationship, he always talked to me about the girls he was seeing and would ask my opinion on things, we liked to laugh at dumb things, and had some inside stories like the one in the van on the way to Nevada;) now see Spence would get that cuz it’s our story and it’s hilarious. My point is I was so nervous that when he started dating somebody they wouldn’t like me, so we would lose our relationship, but guess what folks? Lisa likes me I was a bridesmaid even. Spencer, Lisa have gone on a few double dates and really have so much fun, so I’m excited I do not get to lose that relationship with my bro. woooo! I am so jealous though, the other day Lisa sent a text saying “we made it and are on Catalina Island today” AHHHHHH so lucky, and soo happy for them! Just a few pics from the wedding. I know there are no pics of me and the bros but it's not cuz I don't love you guys it's cuz you could probably care less and don't like pictures.

HERE THEY ARE YAYAYAYY

My hair is all blowy in this but I like Breannas smile!

Okay now these just make me laugh. They wanted a picture with all the kids, Abbie didn't approve of this...

Notice how Breanna kept her cool in the first one, but then...

...she was just over it.

WAIT!!!
<> Breanna had her dance concert Thursday she just looked so cute and did so great! Breanna was even in the very front during pretty much the whole dance, ya know Brea they put the cutest and better dancers toward the front to make the audience happy, and yep it made us very happy  Good job Bookey!
I didn't even get a close up one, but you can see her in this pic in her outfit. She's in the middle of the two girls, they are all waving and she's putting her hand up to wave so it's blurred...

-----------This blog post has a lot of my little sister, I just realized I hope you enjoyed Breanna------------

P.s IF you want the pictures to be bigger click on it and it will be bigger. Most everyone knew that but just incase, and if you did I'm not trying to point out the obvious but you probably want to see the Lisa and Spencer ones bigger.

bracelets.

Just got an intense urge for something sweet.
I'm sitting here at work, an hour left and like BAM
this crazy sweet "tooth" hit me. First I was like
I think those coconutish donuts would work,
or a snickers I could run to the vending machine
but then it hit me i really want GUMMY WORMS!
I could
run to the gas station and grab some real quick but
I should be patient and just wait til works over...man this is crazy!
I'm in a huge mood for gummy worms. After work first thing
I'm doing is hitting the store for yummies Yes I meant to say
yummies not a typo. For now though what will satisfy this,
Lucky me there is a girl downstairs who always has treats at
her desk just little things like mints or small candy bars today
it was kisses. I got some caramel kisses, these will hold me over til I can run to the store.

Okay so Sunday after Sacrament meeting, Bishop came and said to us "I need to see you guys, will you come to my office in ten?" My heart started pounding, told Eli he was gonna ask us why we don't go to Sunday School I mean...er...we go to Sunday school every week. Okay that was a lie but I know for a fact there are a lot of people who really dislike that class and skip it , including that one cute girl I'm going to be related to soon :D Eli thought I was silly for thinking that we went in and BAM got callings. I'm sooo excited. Girls camp advisor okay now that sounds boring or whatever but my heart is with the young women, and the primary but I just started thinking about when I got released from Young Womens I couldn't talk I was so sad and just blubbering, it was hard to talk, then I remember when the YW came into Relief society and they all stood up for the theme and I was like "waah I miss this" I mean that was in my head and tears were in my eyes. Also I don't know if you remember me talking about the ladies who spoke in church and the way cute lady with beautiful hair was talking, yeah she's the president. I spoke to her and the Bishop both told me they want me there Sundays, and activities weekly I'm like another leader, not just a camp director, possibly even teach once in a while. YAY! So i'm very excited. Went to my first activity Wednesday and there was 17 girls -----> 17!!! That is a huge amount of girls and they were all so welcoming and fun and I'm very grateful to be working with them. Eli got a calling also, he's young mens secretary and in the scouts.
OOOOHH my baby is gonna be so good at his calling and all the boys are gonna enjoy him in there I just know it. I remember how Eli use to tell me he would be so good in Young Mens but he never got the calling. (He was in Young Mens before the mission, but his friends were all his age and in there so it was more of a hang out sorta thing) Now he's grown and matured and I think all the kids will like him as much as Travis does, actually I don't think anyone will like Eli as much as Travis does, I don't even like him that much! hahahaha. Eli just has to fill out the form thing for scouting and then he's in baby.. I mean along with the whole sustaining thing and setting apart. The only thing that we foresee with this is Girls camp is a week before scout camp so as soon as I get back, we get to hang out for a day and then see ya! That might be sad times.

What else to write about? ohh Ya know your favorite jeans that you bought a year and a half ago and are in love with but then the zipper just completely goes poopy and is stuck to one side so they won't zip anymore? oh my then you have to wear a longer shirt so all day people aren't judging you and yelling "XYZ" all day..Yeah that's my outfit today. hahaha.

p.s todays blog had absolutely nothing to do with my blog post!

nothing. nothing. breannas birthday. nothing.

What to write about?? Hmm how bout a couple of different things, none so intensly interesting that you will be at the edge of your seat, but I guess a bit entertaining. Yesterday Eli and I stopped at our parents after work, Eli somehow found this flower that somebody had put together, and clipped it in his hair. We then ate dinner, breakfast for dinner. mmm Eli made the hash browns which were delish by the way..thanks love! At dinner my mom said to Eli "Your gonna forget that's in your hair" which he already had but was too preoccupied shoveling food that he didn't care.hahaha. Afterward I went to ULTA to buy me some hair extensions, and Eli went to Game stop. Ya see how that works? Eli thinks extensions are a waste of money but as long as he gets something for himself, everything is all good in the hood. We met each other at home, and Eli walks in the door and says "AHHHH I Forgot I had this in my hair" LOL TRAVIS he forgot to take it out!!! and all the little boys and adult men at Gamestop just watched him walk around with it. This is spectacular. Now take a look at the flower yourselves!
CUTESIE!!!

It's a really cute flower and actually now that I'm thinking about it, it's probably Abbies, Crowthers I will have that back to you asap!

.New subject.

Jazz game Saturday night, Jazz vs Spurs be there or be square. We definitely aren't square so we found our way over to the game. My work has been giving me quite a few tickets for this season, yeah theres perks at this place but mostly jerks. Actually I don't work with any jerks, I quite like the people I work with mostly it just rhymed. Brandon and Christy came to the game with us, and we paid for paking, a ridiculous amount for parking which was good in a way because no one else wanted to pay that amount so traffic was not bad getting out at all. Moving on..We took my car to the game, as you're aware I have a two door, for whatever reason I had to get something out of the back while doing so I had put three things on top of the car
1. A Sprite can
2. Way cute cardigan sweater
3. My phone
We pulled out of the driveway and the sprite rolled down, oh my good think we caught that cuz that Sprite sure would have been irreplaceable. Brandon then says to me that he thinks there is something else we put on the car. nahh! I had forgotten about 2. and 3. We're driving along down 7200 almost 31st when blunk a nose,
"what is that?"
ME: Just the stamps in the back of my car
Everyone else: That came from outside sounded like it fell off my car.
Eli: Amber, where's your phone?
ME: MY PHONE!!!
OH NO! I just got this phone and now it's shattered, my phones the thinnest ever it couldn't survive that, so we get to the next light and flip a U. Everyone spots my phone it was almost on the line in between the two lanes, ELi opens the door and picks it up. Everything is fine, there are a few minor scrapes on the corners, nothing a case won't cover up. Camera not scratched screen not cracked or scratched, EEEEK! So happy right now:)

So we park, and I want to put on my sweater, which again even after my phone had fallen off I forgot I put on there and it's nowhere to be found. Lightbulb it was on the card. I started reminiscing about all the good times me and that cardi had, and I was sad for a minute. Oh well at least I got my phone and don't forget the Sprite. The game was fun, we actually thought the Jazz had a fighting chance until the third quarter, Originally our seats were pretty bad, (where this picture was taken) At half time we saw some empty seats and moved down lower. The game got over and we drove to drop Brandon and Christy off when we got to Centennial and there in the middle of the road laid my sweater ME: My sweater! I got out of the car and grabbed it from the road, no tire marks and really it wasn't even dirty, Crazy!

OH HAPPY BIRFFDAYYYY TO MY LITTLE BOOKEEY! SHE IS 10 TODAY. I LOVE YOU SOO MUCH!!

These are old I know but they're all I could find on such short notice

On your birthday enjoy this picture of Eli and I at Ihop :)

car.

I know those of you that didn't hear what the verdict was about my car the whole claim thing was...but I filed a claim. YUP I was talked into it, and glad I was, because my front bumber looks amazing. My insurance called and told me to take my car to a certain place, they made the appointment for me, they asked if I'd be needing a car, I wouldn't have this one for a couple of days and I wouldn't be paying for it. so.YEAH to make everyones life easier, and because Eli can't drive me to work every morning I got a car. I was talking to the enterprise lady, and she's on the phone and says "yeah a mid sized car" She then asks me "Is a Jeep Liberty Okay?" Umm yes! I really like those type of cars. just the mid sized SUV's sit well with me, so I took the keys and drove away in my brand new car...I wish. The thing just handled so well, it's obviously a taller car so took me some getting use to since I'm currently driving the lowest car in the universe...older style Eclipse yeah it's pretty low. The Jeep was a 2012 just was so great I loved it!!! Well I got the car on Monday morning and got a phone call today that my car was ready for pick up. sad day. So i took my car to the gas station to fill up, and noticed there was a lot of mud type dirt on the lower part of the car from the construction right by where we live. I then attempted to wash my car with window cleaner. umm YEAH don't try this at home folks, you may think it's working becasue it looks good for a second til it drives and it's just smeared dirt/fog I was soo embarrassed. I took it back and apologized for the dirtiness they laughed when they saw I had tried to clean it myself but it was all good. This is my car I'd been driving

I Got my eclipse back. There was a rose on the dashboard with a note that said "thank you for choosing us" All though the rose is given to most likely everyone, it made me feel special, like they appreciated me most. The people did a great job on fixing it up, it looks great. Came to about $600 bucks so I'm glad I got that done now when I didn't have to pay for it, then in a year when I decided it was really bugging me, and then had to pay myself. Thank you for the push Christy and really making me wanna file the claim that one day at my mommas :) . Man I got in my car and it's so low and hot, and the clock is broken , such a downgrade waaaa!!

Anyways now I'm car hungry...like super car hungry. Keep Dreaming Amber. OH I WILL!

on my mind.

This past sunday at church three women spoke, they were in the Young Womens presidency in our ward. (side note in Relief Society once a month the young women join and everyone stands up and we all say the theme. As I stood up and said the theme, I got so emotional. I miss being in the young womens and teaching and learning and just talking with the girls, I miss doing the them every week.) One of the ladies I was actually really excited to hear from, my reason for wanting to hear her is actually kind of dumb but since the first week in our ward I saw her, she was an older lady with a few children..she had the most beautiful hair and I liked her style, every week since then I have seen her and wanted to talk to her. Dumb reason for wanting to get to know someone, possibly?? Anyway I was just excited to hear from her. All of the women did an amazing job, it was funny because the one stood up and was introducing her family and the story of her and her hubby she told us how they met in February and were married in May she then said these next words that made me laugh so hard " I know a lot of you may think that's really fast to get married but when you meet a hottie with a body, why wait?" hahaha Lady you just said that at the pulpit, it was so funny. This is one thing I really enjoy about our ward is everyone laughs at everything and doesn't get offended or doesn't think "She just said that. oh my" In fact all of the ladies said a couple of just funny things that you probably wouldn't hear in some wards, or if you did hear it you know they were getting talked to after church about it. So finally president got up (The super cute one that I wanted to get to know) She started to tell the story of her and her best friend in the whole universe , her husband, they met as teenagers, and started dating in high school on and off then on and off again. He then went on a mission and she told the congregation "We don't talk about when he was on his mission much, but all I can tell you is I wasn't married" She was referring to her dating a lot. haha love it. She then said he came home they dated and were married and have been together for 17 years. I now think this lady is awesome! She's so cute (much like me..hehe) She dated her husband throughout high school (again, and for those of you who knew us in high school it was on and off and on, the off times were literally a day and a half but still) Her hubby went on the mission and she went was ready to mingle (hmmm?) Her story is oddly familiar, I like this lady. After hearing her story I was grateful for Eli and I and all of our times together. I mean I've always been grateful for them and it's a cool story to tell. Today I was remembering the time he asked me to senior prom. Eli and I had decided to go to South Towne he came and picked me up and asked if I wanted Subway, I remember I wasn't hungry so declined, then we went to the mall and were there for a while, I remember Eli rushing us saying we needed to go get dinner, and should go to Subway I was like "Nah" I remember actually we kind of got in an argument about this. I just didn't understand why Eli wanted me to have Subway so much I really didn't feel like it. We left the mall and Eli sped all the way home and then finally pulled into the Subway near his home, REALLY ELI?? so I went into Subway because he was clearly in the mood for that even at 9:30 at night. I told the guy what I wanted, Turkey. It was time for my toppings so I got them, and then requested mayonaise. The guy finishes with the mayo and turns the sandwich to me guess what it says..PROM? hahaha oh myyyy. Eli looked at me all cutesy. He said earlier he had went there and made plans for the guy to make this when we came in, he was afraid the guy he spoke to wouldn't be there anymore. I also remember when Eli would always come to my window at night, he'd knock real late and we'd just hang out. Eli swears that he climbed in once, but I know that never happened, my friends would come to my windows a lot but they never climbed in. These were just a couple of thoughts of mine today that I felt like sharing. :D

Trax.

So a few weeks ago, I blogged about how my sibs were coming over, and yay I was excited..I'm sure there's been a few posts like that. Well they came over and along with them came DELISH brownies and Sloppy joes. yumm. We ate and then ran to the pool. The pool was heated so we jumped in and had a good old time, It was really fun we then hot tubbed til we were dizzy and our blood pressure was to the roof of our mouths...well this is the picture from that day, I never posted it. oopsy boopsy:)

Oh side note, Blogger has updated the way you upload pix, is it just me or my layout or something? Now when I post it, just a bunch of HTML comes up, but if I hit "view blog" the picture is there, since it's just text I can't make it any bigger either, NOT sure what's going on..but Don't like it. Hopefully you can see the pictures. ALSO Sidenote Even though I add new paragraphs or even big spaces between paragraphs it doesn't save and just looks like a big old block post. BLAH! Help?? So Saturday after our play date with the kiddos we decided we wanted to hit the new City Creek Mall, heard it was crazy unique and wonderful, we also wanted to try this new thing they call "Trax" hahaha. Yikes!! So we made it to the train bought our ticket and were literally walking to a door to get on it left.(tickets btw for both of us costed more then gas to get down there)So we waited for the next train to come, and got on..wow those seats were comfy..NOT! The driver then told us it would take about an hour to get to City Creek, I was ready to just turn right back around and drive, but we paid and were waiting. I think by the next stop my head was woozy and bum was hurty! Oh wait this is our picture of us right when we sat down ..as you can see excited:)

. Well we got to City Creek and I was sick, and just didn't feel good the ride was so uncomfortable, and at each stop you didn't know what kind of crazy was going to get on (no offense to trax or bus riders) Anyways we didn't buy anything, I don't think it's that great of a mall, still prefer Fashion or Gateway, don't get me wrong it's unique, and Posh and they have some new store but nahh. So we left with empty hands and an empty stomach- (from throwing up) kidding!, just went well with the empty thing and trax did make me nauseated.) Eli sure had fun on our ride home.

So that was our experience, I think Trax is great for a lot of people and really saves gas if you buy a monthly pass and use it every day or even a few times a week, but it is not for this lady right here, or her man. That was our Trax experience, I'm trying to get you guys up to date on the important facts of my life so there will be more posts soon.

Back in the house hunting days.

A lot of you are aware that a few months ago before we got our apartment Eli and I were looking at getting a house. Well we pretty much found one, we talked about putting an offer in on it, This house was UGLY I mean the layout was alright but it was pink and old looking, the inside was nuts every room had DR Seuss painted on the walls, but guess what there was a pool and the backyard was big! The house itself was $95,000 and then we would have had to put some work into it slowly obviously to make it a dream. Well one day Eli picked me up from work and we went to the house and looked at it, there are a lot of HUGE trees so I then started looking at possibly how much they would cost to be removed. The house was right next to the free way..fifteen minutes from my work, 7 from Eli's this was perfect, it had a two car garage and a pool..are you kidding me? LOVE! Well after talking it over we wanted the house, the VERY NEXT MORNING I got notification of a status change..the house had been taken off the market, literally the day after we decided we wanted it. I guess it's not meant to be...or is it? What's funny about this now is I work with a guy who lives up by this house he said he can literally throw a rock at it. haha. He knew we were looking at it and said it's a crazy deal 95k for a house with a pool, he then told me he's pretty sure the people who bought the house are flipping it, because they instantly went to work on it. The guy I work with called me this morning and said "that house went up for sale this weekend, the guy had an open house, he's selling it for $240,000. YIKES! I quickly went to work and found the home on a website, I knew the address, and we'd seen the house before so BAM here it is. Now I know you're not impressed with the outside of the house, it's not gorgeous but the inside is beautiful!! Walls were knocked down bathrooms were added, I mean it's sooo transformed inside it's nuts. Now this guy if he put $100k into this house and he sells it for what it's listed, he's making a big old profit on this puppy. So now I'm wondering, destiny? Doubt it, but here's the house we almost bought. You guys don't have the before pictures, but it's crazy there was literally paintings from DR Seuss books on pretty much every single wall, upstairs was a playroom, it's now a master Bedroom. Check it out..
Now you got to see more pictures because I know your like "Amber what the?? This house is lame" So check it out.. (p.S) Just click on one picture it will make it big then you can zoom through the pictures easy like it's a slide show.. :)
Meant to be ours?? the answer to that is probably and most likely no, but it's fun for us to see the transformation, and now my mom can look at the house we were thinking about buying before hand, only this is after. Anyways this was on my mind so I blogged about it.

Fun Friday Activity

From the title of my blog you fools all thought I was gonna talk about our Fun Friday activity at work..NOPE ladies and gents..I will be talking about my not so fun Friday activity. I got off of my lame day at work early, On my way home I decided to stop at Rue 21 for a little theraputic shopping. I spent 5 bucks. I then thought I should stop at Platos closet, haven't been there in a while, part of me thought I should just get on the free way and get to my place, well I thought I was getting on the free way, apparantly they built a new road right next to the freeway off of 35th which I then turned onto, WOW so not the freeway but other cars had turned there as well so I kept driving. A second later I was at 4100 and just about Redwood Road, I thought well this must be a sign I should just stop by Platos closet it's like 2 minutes away. HA shoulda listened to my first thought. NOTHING was there. So I was bout to leave the store just checking out the earrings and some girl comes inside and just says "a green Chevy just hit a car, nobody was in it" the Cashier then yells "Does anyone own a green Cavalier? it just rolled into another car. So I'm sighing with relief because a green chevy Cavalier just hit somebodies car and now that person is out there trying to find out who did it, glad it's not me. Whoooeee. The girl at the counter then calls 911 to report the accident. So I leave the store to get in my car and go home when I discover what the lady forgot to yell and ask is "Does anybody own a green chevy or a Mitsubishi Eclipse??" Thats right folks it was my car that got hit. A pizza Hut worker was in his car pulling forward out of the spot right in front of my car as I was walking to my car. nooooooooooo!! he then asks me "Do you know whos car this is?" YEAh it's mine! He proceeds to tell me that his car rolled into mine, and it's not a big deal nothing a paint job won't fix. I told him that paint wont fix it, the car had a 3 inch gash in it, part of the aluminum of the car is rolled back, and theres some other scrapes on it as well. Now obviously my car is not even a big deal and it's running fine still, but I literally just got my plates for this stupid car and now he's telling me it's not a big deal, he's sorry this happened though, but if we get the insurance involved it's not worth it because they have to go through him and his work. Not only is the kid telling me this but he has his boss telling me this as well. Because the incident happened while he was on the clock it's a big deal for him and Pizza hut. Guess what bud?? even though it's not a huge deal to you, it's not no biggie to me with what I've had to go through with this piece of crap car and then this , and just the fact that you're telling me it's not a big deal is making me more irritated. Now we have to wait because the police are coming, we can't just leave, they were called before I even knew it was my car. The fact that the police were coming was lame too because really it's not a big deal the damage isn't huge.. not enough to file a report. I'm just annoyed too and of course I'm acting cool about it, because his car rolled into mine, he didn't purposefully hit my car, but it still happened. The kid and his boss are there and again telling me it's going to be a hassle. Oh another thing wanna know what the guy told me about my front end when I said I want to get it fixed through my insurance because if I want to sell the car that's gonna be less money I get because of this, guess what he says "It's really not even gonna lower the value of your car much" He's really trying to talk me out of calling. ahhhhhh Seriously take responsibility for whatever the reason is, it's my car and I don't want the damage there. OKAY? The police arrived, a good 35 minutes later, so that's cool. The cop asks us how things are. We tell him we don't want to report anything we're working it out through the insurances, cop tells us this is best and is on his way, and so are we. Just before I leave though the kid tells me "Here is my number and call me if you report this to your insurance, if you don't then I guess I won't hear from you again which would be cool because ya know, we have to not only report this to my insurance but through my works as well, It was nice meeting you" Tacky much? I get it, it will be a hassle for you if I report it, but not really a hassle for me, and if I can get my "new" car fixed 100% no cost to me, I should right?? You just did noticeable damage to my front end and I know it wasn't on purpose obviously, but it happened, don't make me feel like I'm the bad guy if I want to get it fixed. I haven't called my insurance yet, I'm actually going to right now, they called and left me a message earlier so I'm gonna figure this thing out. Me and the kid exchanged info so I'm thinking this should be fairly easy. Oh and just a tip, for all you people planning on hitting cars any time in the future when you go to talk to the person you hit, don't pull out a cigarette two feet away from them and start blowing smoke in their face as you are having a conversation. Yeah so that happened. Don't get me wrong, the kid was nice and I understand it's just a bad situation, but it also happened and you have to own up to it and fix it however it needs to get fixed. So I gotta go call the insurance, but real quick update on dummy who took my phone. Last Saturday I woke up early, looked at the time real quick and then planned on going back to bed. When I checked the time on my phone I noticed I had an email notification, opened it up and it was for City Deals, which I do. I then noticed I had an email from 5:30 am that was read, WAIT I wasn't up that early, so I checked it out and it was from a website for dirrtys. The site was a disgusting "hooking up" site with ladies and nasty usernames, Yeah definitely didn't sign up for this, but guess what that wasn't the first email, I went down and found a few more but they were already read, I hadn't even noticed them before, the person had just signed up 2 days prior. LUcky for me at the bottom there was a little place that said 'to unsubscribe click here' so I did, well it's a trick, all it does is opens the Marketplace and goes to the app of the site so I can have it at my fingertips. AHHHHH So I went to all the emails and replied stop to everyone of them. I still get them occasionally, but not as often. SO the person who had my phone had used my email address and their own username. In case your like my mom and don't get it I apologize but gmail was an app I had on my phone and I got emails auto sent me so I could always read them on the spot. I don't get it I mean this person clearly has money for a phone, even a smart phone with a data package, so why not get your own FREE email address and sign up for pervy websites with your own..I don't get it. So My day STANK my manager is being a dumb face, my car got hit had to sit there foreverr minutes for no reason and get guilted into thinking I'm the bad person if I call the insurance, then my phone just turned off by itself in the middle of a phone call, it's been acting up but this is so lame, this is a brand new phone! It was just a dumb day. Eli called me on my way home and we talked for a minute. I went home and was just wallowing in my self pity because that's whatchya do, I was trying to figure things out, when my door bell rang. I opened the door to a ridiculously good looking delivery guy, of course I let him in, and we kissed. "Delivery for a Miss Amber Duckworth" he says, and then pulls out a bag of Chilis to go. MY FAVE!!! mmmm:) I mean my day was still bad but this was definitely the happiest thing that happened. SO this is my day, so far anyway. PS> My big brother graduated from Law School today. I'm so happy for him and his family, Congrats BrO, we love you!!! (sorry this had to be at the bottom of such a negative post, I'll pay you back by letting you buy me dinner when you're making the big bucks.) PSS> Calm down the delivery man I smooched was my Hubba Bubba ELi<3
